The Diversity Visa (DV) Lottery Program (commonly referred to as the Green Card Lottery) is a U.S. immigration program which seeks to further diversify the population of the United States by randomly selecting approximately 100,000 winners annually from six geographic regions of the world for the opportunity to apply for one of the 50,000 Diversity Visas authorized to be issued each year for immigration to the United States, USAFIS team has learned.
